Lest Oakville forget.

Mayor Rob Burton, council colleagues and a host of other dignitaries attended Thursday’s Remembrance Day Ceremonies held at George’s Square and Memorial Park at the Trafalgar Memorial in Oakville.

Oakville residents were able to watch the George’s Square ceremony virtually on a special livestream this morning.

Ceremonies in Oakville and across the country paid tribute to the men and women who have served our country bravely and continue to do so today.

“It was an honour to join my @townofoakville Council colleagues and attend the #Remembrance Day ceremonies in Oakville to pay tribute to all those who served and continue to serve,” Burton said on Twitter.

Here’s a look through photos at the Remembrance Day events that took place today in Oakville and another attended by Oakville MP Anita Anand in Ottawa.
