Oakville, Ontario man plans to save his big and unexpected lotto win

An Oakville man is celebrating an exciting windfall.

Recently, OLG announced that Stevo Grkinic’s Daily Keno 10 pick resulted in a $50,000 win in the June 27, 2023 evening draw.

Grkinic, 68, told OLG that he doesn’t play the lottery often and this is his biggest win.

“I usually play Proline, but I like to switch it up sometimes. I was shocked when I brought my ticket to the retailer and saw I won big,” he said.

Grkinic, who works as a machine operator, says he told his wife and two sons right away.

“They’re happy for me,” he told OLG.

He told OLG plans to put his windfall in the bank for now.

The winning ticket was purchased at Kitchen Food Fair on Westoak Trails Boulevard in Oakville.
