Oakville native Justin Inacio’s talent on the lacrosse field has drawn the attention of more than one professional league.

For the second-straight year the Ohio State Buckeyes midfielder heard his name called in a draft when on Tuesday night he was selected by Archers LC in the third round (18th overall) of the 2022 Premier League Lacrosse (PLL) Draft.

Last August, Inacio was chosen with the 10th overall pick by the Calgary Roughnecks in the National Lacrosse League Draft.

The fifth-year senior was one of two Ohio State players selected in the PLL Draft. Teammate and Guelph native Jackson Reid was taken in the fourth round (26th overall) to the Whipsnakes LC.

Inacio is the all-time Buckeyes leader with over 700 career face-off wins and is just three ground balls shy of breaking Jake Withers’ career record of 351.

A biology major and business minor, Inacio is ranked ninth nationally this season in face-win percentage at .591 (185-of-313) and 31st in ground balls per game (5.96).

In April, the OSU Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten honoree was added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The award is given to the NCAA’s most outstanding male lacrosse player.

The 2022 PLL season begins on June 4-5 and continues through the league championship game on September 18.
