If catching a movie at the 5 Drive-In Oakville is on your schedule tonight (July 8) you might want to make sure you arrive early.

The local drive-in is warning residents heading to see a movie tonight at the outdoor theatre (2332 Ninth Line) that there could be long delays to get in due to the Rogers internet outage.

Lineups could be very long due to the outage and with the expected delays moviegoers are being asked to show up at least an hour before showtime.

“We are doing our very best to get everyone in on time,” the  5 Drive-In said on its Facebook page.

Customers are being asked to bring cash, though some credit cards may work. Due to the Rogers outage, debit is currently down

In an effort to help speed up lines, those who bought their tickets online are being asked to show up with either a printed-out ticket, the confirmation email, or the booking reference prepared.

“We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience,” said the drive-in on Facebook. “We are trying our best given the circumstances and appreciate your patience and understanding.”
