Oakville man one of two killed in head-on crash near Manilla

An Oakville man has been identified as one of two people killed in a vehicle collision near Manilla.
Kawartha Lakes OPP released the identities Wednesday of the two people who died in a two-vehicle collision Oct. 9 on Simcoe Street, at Brock Concession Road 6, in Mariposa Township.
At approximately 12:25 p.m. in the afternoon, OPP say a northbound passenger vehicle was passing unsafely when it collided head-on with a southbound vehicle.
Both drivers, who police say were the lone occupants of their respective vehicles, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Joseph Duchesne, 32, of Oakville and Mark Wallace, 57, of Durham Region, were identified as the deceased.
