An Oakville man and Mississauga man are among a group of six splitting $1 million lotto prize.
The group of six from the Greater Toronto Area shared a winning ticket in the July 14, 2021 Lotto 6/49 draw.
Sharing the prize money are Michael Fiorentino of Oakville, Alan Ogaki of Mississauga, Batch Manalo of Ajax, Bruna Franceschini of Toronto, Maria Castelli of Toronto and Nancy Webster of Whitby.
Fiorentino purchased the winning group ticket at the Petro Canada on Dundas Street in Oakville.
He said he couldn’t believes his eyes when he checked the ticket at the store.
“I walked out of the store to my car in shock. It was unbelievable,” he said while picking up his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
“The other group members are in shock, but very happy! Some still don’t believe it yet,” he laughed.
Fiorentino would like to use some of his portion of the winnings to take a vacation when it’s safe to do so.
“Hopefully all of us can get together to celebrate our win,” he said.
