Oakville man facing additional charges in sexual assault investigation

A sexual assault investigation by Halton Regional Police into an Oakville man already facing charges has uncovered more victims.

These incidents, identified by Halton Police’s Child Abuse and Sexual Assault Unit, occurred between January 2019 and October 2021.

Donovan Friesen, 41, of Oakville has been arrested and charged with the following additional offences:

  • Indecent Act (3 counts)
  • Indecent Exposure to Persons Under Age of Sixteen Years (4 counts)
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching
  • He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Friesen (photo below) was already facing charges for invitation to sexual touch and indecent exposure to a person under 16 in the assault of a young female.

Employed as a residential and commercial garage door salesman in the Greater Toronto area, Friesen drives a 2018 red Mini Cooper (four-door hatchback).

He has several online profiles (KiK, Snapchat, etc.) and goes by the names of “don987654” and “hannahk975”.

Police are concerned that there may be additional victims and are asking that anyone with additional information contact the HRPS Child Abuse and Sexual Assault (CASA) Unit at 905-825-4777, ext. 8970.
