An Oakville man has been arrested for a sex offence involving a female youth and Halton Regional Police believe there may be additional victims.

Halton police say a man earlier this month invited a female youth to his residence to discuss a potential cleaning job.

Once the youth was inside, police say she was told she would not have to clean, but would still be paid. The man then allegedly offered her wine and made sexual comments.

The female would then flee the residence and police were contacted.

Police arrested 57-year-old Juvenal Lima Bettencourt De Qaudros of Oakville on May 12, 2023. He has been charged with the following:

  • invitation to sexual touching (1 count)

De Qaudros (pictured below) was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

Police say that in order to protect the identity of the victim, they will not be providing further details surrounding this investigation.

Investigators believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone with information, or anyone who has been victimized to contact police at 905-825-4777.

The man charged is also known as Jim Qaudros.
