Oakville man faces drug charges after Halton cops raid houses

An Oakville man is facing drug charges after Halton police searched residences in Oakville and Mississauga last week.

On Mar. 3, police seized more than 19 kilograms of cannabis, half a kilogram of hashish, more than 700 packages of THC edibles and chocolate, and 250 grams of psilocybin (magic mushrooms). Police also seized $20,000 in cash, a money counter, and other trafficking devices.

The value of the drugs seized is estimated at $250,000.

Cory McCron , 31, of Oakville has been charged with possession for the purpose of selling cannabis and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released on an undertaking, and is to appear in Milton court on Apr. 1.
