Oakville drug trafficking investigation leads to arrest in Burlington

A Halton Regional Police investigation has led to the arrest of an Oakville drug trafficker in Burlington.

Police arrested Ifennacho Egwuenu in Burlington on Tuesday (Sept. 21) and have charged the 35-year-old with Possession (of cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking, Trafficking (cocaine) and Driving While Prohibited.

In July of 2022, police initiated a drug trafficking investigation after they identified the suspect in Oakville and throughout the investigation observed him conducting numerous drug transitions in Halton Region and across the Greater Toronto Area.

Police would arrest Egwuenu on Tuesday (Sept. 21). A Criminal Code search warrant was executed at a residence in Etobicoke and a vehicle, resulting in the seizure of 6.5 ounces of cocaine, and other items consistent with drug trafficking (photo below).

Egwuenu was released on an Undertaking.
