A power outage has been reported in Oakville in approximately the same area where two highway lanes were blocked after a collision.

Halton Regional Police Service reported the outage is in the the area of Trafalgar Road and Sixth Line. It extends north to Dundas Street and south to Queen Elizabeth Way. In the meantime, two eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Trafalgar are blocked due to a collision, according to the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.

During a power outage, any intersections without working traffic lights are to be treated like an all-way stop.

UPDATE: The power outage was reportedly over as of 5:33 p.m. on Tuesday. The highway lanes were fully reopened at 5:50 p.m.
