Oakville Chamber of Commerce CEO France Fournier has been elected to the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC) Board of Directors for 2022-23.

Fournier was elected as a representative of Ontario at the CCEC’s annual general meeting held recently in Ottawa.

The CCEC Board is comprised of 20-25 representatives from across Canada. Representatives are drawn from members in each province.

“I am honoured to be appointed to the CCEC board and look forward to working with Chamber Executives across Canada to support the Chamber Network,” said Fournier.

“Local Chambers of Commerce live at the intersection of business, government and community and have an important role to play in supporting their business communities in problem solving, communicating, and advocating on their behalf.”

The Board serves as the governing body of the organization, and board members are responsible for setting the strategic direction and ensuring that resources are aligned to deliver programs that meet strategic plan goals and member needs.
