Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton GO commuters told to give themselves time this weekend

Metrolinx is reminding riders on the Lakeshore West Line between Oakville and West Harbour in Hamilton to plan ahead and give themselves lots of time if travelling on GO Transit this weekend.
Starting tonight (June 9) at 9 p.m. until the end of service on Sunday (June 11), a temporary service change will see Go shuttle buses replace the train service between Oakville and West Harbour in preparation for upcoming work that will improve service.
To help get ready for the construction of the Burloak Dr. grade separation, infrastructure in the corridor must be moved, and this can only be done when trains are not running.
Train and bus connections for routes 12, 15, 18 and 21 will be impacted and Niagara Falls train service will end at Aldershot GO in Burlington.
GO train service will continue as normal between Oakville GO and Union Station.
Regular service will resume next Monday (June 12).
Riders using PRESTO while traveling with GO June 9 – June 11, should top off their balance here before heading out. ( be sure to top up your balance before heading out.) During your trip, make sure to tap on and off for each portion of your GO commute including when switching between vehicles.
