Oakville, Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton residents can shred unwanted papers at fundraiser

For a small donation, Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills residents can get unwanted papers shredded this weekend.

Crime Stoppers of Halton is holding its annual Shred Event Fundraiser this Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Halton Regional Police Service headquarters located at 2485 North Service Rd. W. in Oakville (Bronte Rd. & QEW).

Local residents can get their unwanted papers shredded for a donation to Crime Stoppers.

Donations made to the organization, which is run by volunteers in the community, can be made in any amount. All forms of payment are accepted.

To provide a safe place for residents to shred unwanted paper work, COVID protocols are in place for all volunteers.

Tax receipts can’t be issued as there is an exchange of services for the financial donation.
