Oakville and Burlington drivers may find it will take them a little more time on the QEW to get to their destination this week.

The Ministry of Transportation has announced some major lane and on-ramp closures are likely to cause delays for drivers every day this week between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. up until Saturday (June 11).

There will be multiple lane closures from Upper Middle Rd. over Highway 403 east of Ford Driver to west of Winston Churchill Blvd and from west of Trafalgar Rd. to east of Winston Churchill.

The Ministry of Transportation said for drivers to expect traffic delays of 15 minutes or more.

As well this week, work on Hamilton-bound QEW on-ramps at Burloak Drive and Appleby Line in Burlington will result in the closure of all lanes between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. up until Saturday (June 11).
