Right now, an Oakville brewery is on top of the world. Make that on top of the World Beer Awards.

Cameron’s Brewing won the World’s Best award in the Milkshake IPA/New England IPA category when the winners of the 21st World Beer Awards were announced.

When Brewmaster/Vice President Jason Britton unveiled the brewery’s Cruising Through The Hazy IPA on October 30, 2020, it is doubtful he thought it would soar this high in less than a year. At the time, there were literally thousands of Hazy IPAs on the international market.

And yet, here it is. Top of the world.

The brewery’s Director of Sales, Kyle Riddell, posted today that he was “So proud to work with such an outstanding brew team. A lot of hard work went into creating this beer and it shows. Well deserved!”

Only one other Ontario brewery won an award at the event, which gets entries from hundreds of breweries around the world. Toronto’s Indie Alehouse won for World’s Best Lambic.

Toronto beer expert David Sun Lee was the Canadian contingent on the international panel of judges.
