Oakville auto parts store has permanently shut down

A popular Oakville neighbourhood auto parts store has closed its doors for good.

PartSource, located at the corner of Morden and Speers road, has removed all outdoor signs and posted a sign on the front doors saying the store has closed.

“Come shop with us at our neighbourhood stores. Some great parts, pros and prices,” said the sign which asked customers to join them at their 1435 Plains Rd. E. location in Burlington or 6400 Millcreek Drive location in Mississauga.

The Oakville store had been in business since 2004 when the national chain of auto parts specialty stores, now owned by the Canadian Tire Corporation, opened eight new locations in a $12 million dollar expansion across the GTA.

PartSource says it has the products, programs and value-added services customers need and trust to help them the job right the first time.

“Our team of commercial parts pros are dedicated to providing you with quality recognized brands backed by the best returns and warranty police,” PartSource says on its website.

“We have in-store assortments tailored to the local market and complemented by same day access to thousands of additional parts. We consistently deliver great customer service and industry leading in-stock reliability.”

Neighbourhood residents are already feeling the loss.

“Why did it close?,” asked Fernando Silva, who drove into the PartSource parking lot. “I came here quite a bit. They always had what I wanted and it was right around the corner from where I live.”
