NYE Celebration Square – Food Trucks, Fireworks & Music

Celebrate the New Year at Celebration Square’s NYE event! The all-night party features live musical performances, DJs and emerging local talent. There will also be a moonlit skate party, gourmet food trucks and fireworks to ring in the New Year.
insauga.com’s Khaled Iwamura and co-host Jackie Perez will start the night off with insauga.com’s live preshow at 8 pm. Preshow guests include Anthony Carelli (aka WWE’s Santino Marella), illScarlett frontman Alex Norman and Demitri Salloum.
During insauga.com’s preshow, you’ll get to check out some of the city’s most talented new artists. The musicians include TEDx (talk guest and MMVA nominee), John River; (trip hop/jazz/soul singer/songwriter and top finalist in 2012’s Canadian Radio Star National Competition) Shyann; and Chris “C-Styles” Fernandez (beatboxer, top finalist and champion in numerous competitions, including the Canadian Nationals Beatbox Championship).
The main event and countdown to midnight will be hosted by Scott Willats and Khaled Iwamura. It will include performances by Toronto DJ/producer Grandtheft. Grandtheft is known for his custom sound, spun globally in clubs and on radio sets. He has remixed some of the biggest dance and top 40 tracks. Other performers include Vancouver born Trevor Guthrie, an award winning singer/songwriter and Grammy and Juno nominee with SOCAN & CRMA wins for This is What It Feels Like with Armin van Burren and Lowell, a Toronto singer/songwriter known for electropop music that defends equality.
Gourmet food trucks will be ready to fill appetites with both savory and sweet dishes from Beavertails. Born2Eat, Jerk Brothers, Mustache Burger, My Sticky Rice, Mighty Cob and Pizza Pizza.

The free event starts at 8 pm until 12:15 am and transportation via Miway around the city is free. The skating rink on the Square will close at 11:30 pm and is weather permitting
