North York man arrested in break-and-enter of two St. Catharines stores

The investigation into the September 26 break-in at St. Catharines business, U BREAK I FIX store, has seen a North York man arrested.

After the Niagara Police were able to identify the suspect in mid-October, Toronto Police subsequently arrested  Michel Alexander Gibson, 35, of North York, charging him with two counts break and enter, possession of stolen property and failure to comply with probation.

Gibson was held in custody with a future court date.

The initial investigation that a car backed up to the front of the store, a male passenger got out of the vehicle and proceeded to break the glass and enter the store in Fourth Avenue and First Street Louth area. He then stole multiple items and cash from the store before taking off a grey sedan.

Shortly after that, the Metro Cell Store in the Glendale Avenue and Glengarry Road area was also broken into with a suspect stealing in excess of over $8,000, iPhones and cameras. He then took off toward the northbound 406 ramp.
