North Oshawa shooting victims identified

The two victims from last weekend’s fatal shooting at the BLVD restaurant in north Oshawa have been identified.

The victims are Jaheim Spence, 21, of Toronto and Joshua Connell-Wong, 22, of Oshawa. The Durham Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate this shooting and are appealing for any witnesses with video or information to come forward.

Police say they arrived at the restaurant Simcoe St. North around 12:45 a.m. early Saturday morning after receiving reports of gun shots fired in the area.

Five victims were located at the scene, all suffering from gunshot wounds.

One man was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A second man was taken to a Toronto Trauma Centre in critical condition and later succumbed to his injuries.

The other three victims were taken to hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
