It’s important to recognize those Oakville champions who make a difference in our community.
You can honour those who have contributed to the life and spirit of the town by nominating them for a 2021 Oakville Community Spirit Award.
Many local residents have spent countless hours volunteering their time to make Oakville a better place to live, work and play.
Especially this year.
With the COVID-19 pandemic, local groups and businesses were forced to face and overcome several unique challenges in order to help others.
Nominations will be accepted until Friday, Sept. 10 at 4 p.m. in the following award categories:
- Access Award
- Arts Award
- Group Volunteer Award
- Heritage Award
- Individual Volunteer Award
- Senior Award
- Youth Award
The Community Spirit Awards presentation will take place on Thursday, October 28 at 7 p.m. Event details will be shared in October.
The Town of Oakville was unable to host the awards last due to the COVID-19 pandemic and are combining the past two years into one special event at this year’s ceremony.
