A Picton man is facing cocaine trafficking charges after his car was pulled over by police for making too much noise.
Durham Regional Police initiated a traffic stop just after midnight Saturday for “excessive noise” in the area of King Street and Eastlawn Street in the city’s east end. Officers searched the vehicle after observing open liquor containers and discovered more than 48 grams of suspected cocaine. The driver was taken into custody without incident.
Shemar Marvin Horsford, 28, is charged with trafficking in cocaine, driving with liquor available and excessive noise.
He was held for a bail hearing.
