No stop at red light leads police to loaded handgun and drugs, three people charged from Brampton

Three people from Brampton have been charged after police say officers found a loaded handgun after a vehicle didn’t stop at a red light.
The OPP Highway Safety Division said on Wednesday (Sept. 27) that an officer from the Mississauga OPP witnessed a vehicle fail to stop at a red light in Brampton.
When police conducted a search they found a loaded .40 calibre handgun and investigators say there was “cannabis readily available.”
The OPP says three people from Brampton were arrested, charged and held for bail. Police have not disclosed the names of the accused or the charges the trio are facing.
