No parking on streets as snowstorm hits Burlington

Published March 10, 2023 at 11:50 am

The City of Burlington has declared today (March 10) a snow event which means no on-street parking.

Starting at 3 p.m. any vehicle left on the road will be towed or ticketed. Fines can be up to $120.

According to the City, the streets need to be kept clear of parked vehicles to allow snow plows to clear the roads.

Up to 7.5 cm of snow is expected to fall today so the snow event may last for some time. The City will issue an alert when the parking ban is lifted.

During snow-clearing times, primary and secondary roads are addressed as soon as the snow starts to accumulate. Residential roads are cleared once the 7.5 cm of accumulation is reached.

The City points out that is not responsible for windrows left at the end of driveways caused by plowing.
