No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Halton Hills today (Aug. 3).

Ontario is reporting 164 new cases of COVID-19, 33 of which have been reported in Halton Region.

A total of 10 new cases have been reported in Burlington, 16 in Milton and seven in Oakville.

As of Aug. 3, 71 per cent of the Halton population has received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine and a total of 82 per cent has received at least one dose.

Halton Region Public Health continues encouraging residents to complete both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this summer in order to gain full protection against the virus, as well as help prevent a fourth wave in the fall.

Appointments can be booked online at community clinics, at select primary care offices or pharmacies in Halton.

All residents are eligible to receive a second dose of the vaccine after a minimum of 28 days. Anyone who has appointments booked in September and October is urged to reschedule to an earlier date as soon as possible.
