Closure: No more pierogies as Burlington restaurant shuts down

It was less than a year ago that Loaded Pierogi held its grand opening in Burlington and now the restaurant is gone.

The news has been confirmed on the take-out chain’s website after a sign was posted on the front door of the restaurant saying “store permanently closed.”

Opened last November with much fanfare at its Appleby Line location, the restaurant specialized in pierogis and offered plenty of fixings such as various meats, vegetables, cheese, sauces and toppings and came with such names as the Godzilla, Hail Caesar, Gangnam Style and Cauliflower Bang Bang, among others.

The operators have offered no explanation for the closure of the restaurant

Loaded Pierogi has 14 locations in Canada with the closest now being in Hamilton
