No injuries after early morning fire in downtown Welland

There were no injuries this morning (March 7) after Welland Firefighters extinguished a blaze that occurred in the downtown area.

Welland Fire reported that they safely evacuated everyone when a fire started at 8 am in a two-storey commercial and residential building on Division Street between King Street and Cross Street.

There has been no official report on the cause yet but it’s suspected of have started in the apartment before spreading further.
