The RBC Canadian Open professional golf tournament is on this week in Caledon, and police warn the public about the no-fly zone in effect during the event.
The tournament is at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley, 19131 Main St., from June 10 to 14.
The Ontario Provincial Police said there is a temporary no-fly zone during the event from 10 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. daily.
The no-fly zone will be in effect over and around the TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.
During this time, the unauthorized operation of drones or unmanned aerial vehicles is strictly prohibited, the OPP said.
Operating a drone in restricted airspace may result in enforcement action, including fines and other penalties, police added.
People could face fines up to $3,000 for flying where they are not allowed.
