No electricity for 890-plus homes, businesses in St. Catharines until this afternoon

Alectra Utilities is reporting that there is a power outage for 892 customers in St. Catharines since 9:30 this morning (December 21).
The affected area is Highway 406 to Wembly Drive and Birch Lane to Clearview Crescent.
Alectra is saying the cause of the outage is a supply problem from Hydro One.
The utilities company added, “Alectra Utilities crews have been dispatched to make repairs. The estimated time for power restoration is approximately 12:30 pm. Updates will be posted periodically.”
