Halton Region has opened its ninth COVID-19 vaccination clinic in Milton.

Residents ages 12 and older may now book their vaccination appointments at the new clinic at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Secondary School, located at 1145 Bronte St S.

Halton Region Public Health continues to encourage residents to complete both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine this summer in order to gain full protection against the virus and help prevent a fourth wave in the fall.

As of Friday, July 23, 2021, a total of 725,993 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Halton, which represents 81 per cent of Halton’s population ages 12 and up who have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

Appointments can be booked online at other community clinics, at select primary care offices or pharmacies in Halton.

All residents are eligible to receive a second dose of the vaccine after a minimum of 28 days.

Anyone who has appointments booked in September and October is urged to reschedule to an earlier date as soon as possible.
