Nine People Arrested in Firearm and Drug Bust in Brampton

Police have arrested nine people from Brampton following a recent investigation.

Police have arrested nine people from Brampton following a recent investigation.

On Sunday, November 4, a search warrant conducted at a Brampton residence led officers to seize a loaded .9mm caliber Glock 17 handgun, an unloaded .9mm caliber Glock 17 handgun, a loaded .9mm caliber Jericho 941S handgun, and quantities of crack cocaine and fentanyl.

Nine Brampton residents were charged with numerous firearms offences and multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking:

  • Joshua Ansah, an 18 year old male
  • Samuel Ansah, a 21 year old male
  • Alexander Mills-Smith, a 20 year old male
  • Emmanuel Amponsah, a 20 year old male
  • Georgina Owusu-Ansah, a 61 year old female
  • Kwaku Ansah, a 61 year old male
  • David Osei Owusu, a 22 year old male
  • A 14 year old male (name withheld under the Youth Criminal Justice Act)

All nine appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice on November 5 for a bail hearing.
