Burlington residents caught glimpses of a new Nicolas Cage and Michael Cera (from Brampton) movie filming in the city this month.
The movie, an A24 comedy horror called Dream Scenario, was slated to film in the Toronto area from Oct. 17 to Nov. 18, according to Ontario Creates.
Written and directed by Kristoffer Borgli, the plot for the movie is being kept under wraps, according to IMDb, but also stars Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live), Julianne Nicholson (August: Osage County), and Dylan Baker (The Good Wife).
Burlington residents noticed a film set pop up at the Russell Williams Family Restaurant in Aldershot in November.
“Hey!!! They’re shooting a movie at the restaurant next door,” one person wrote on Twitter, posting photos of the shoot at the Plains Road East diner.
Hey!!! They're shooting a movie at the restaurant next door! I got a nice balcony seat to all the action too! Wonder if it's a Christmas movie or something? pic.twitter.com/d2NgNHv4lu

While the poster was unsure of the movie, another person said it was the Nicholas Cage movie.
“He filmed in the 2nd booth behind the cash and in one of the large curved booths,” the poster wrote.
Another Twitter post noted film crews in Burlington with the name “Osler Diary”, which is reportedly the cover name for Dream Scenario. The production company name listed for Dream Scenario is Osler Media Inc., according to Ontario Creates.

The production was also reportedly filming at a home on North Shore Boulevard.
Cage was seen outside a movie theatre in Toronto while filming for Dream Scenario, People Magazine reported earlier this month. He was sporting a short beard and appears to be partly bald.
