In front of a boisterous hometown crowd in St Catharines’ Meridian Centre, the Niagara River Lions had little trouble handling the Saskatchewan Rattlers by a score of 86-74 last night (July 20).

The win boosted the River Lions to a 5-3 record while the Rattlers remain winless at 0-9 in Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) play this year.

Guard Jaylen Babb Harrison led the way with 25 points for the River Lions, who have now won four out of their last five games, leaving them within striking distance of their QEW rivals, the Hamilton Honey Badgers who sit at 6-3.

As well as Harrison, the River Lions also saw some strong play from Javin DeLaurier, who notched his fourth double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
