Niagara Region warns at least two more days of high temperatures

The heat warning issued for Niagara Region is expected to last at least two more days.

The region said while Humidex values are expected “to reach 40C over the next two days, cooler and less humid air is expected by the weekend.”

In the meanwhile, the region offered up these suggestion to keep your cool:

  • Stay indoors in air-conditioned buildings
  • Plan outdoor activities during cooler parts of the day
  • Rest often in shaded areas
  • Never leave children or pets in a parked car
  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Dress in cool, loose clothing and shade your head with a hat or umbrella
  • Take cool showers until you feel refreshed
