Niagara Region sees Delta variant as another 43 new COVID-19 cases today

Another bad day courtesy of the Delta variant in Niagara Region as 43 new cases of COVID-19 were reported today (November 12). With only 19 cases resolved, that leaves the region with 250 ongoing cases.

The Niagara hospitals are currently sitting with 15 patients being treated for the virus, three of them in the ICU. Seven of the patients are fully vaccinated, eight are not.

St. Catharines continues to lead the caseload with 65 infected, followed by Fort Erie with 44 while Niagara Falls sits at 42, Also in the double digits are Lincoln with 31, Welland with 26 and Niagara-on-the-Lake with 10.

The remaining six municipalities range from three cases in Pelham up to Thorold and Welland with seven apiece.
