There were 19 new COVID-19 cases reported today (October 26) but with 21 resolved, the ongoing cases dipped a bit to 152.

As well, six Niagara residents are fighting the virus in local hospitals – five of them in ICU. Two are fully-vaccinated, the remainder unvaccinated. All contracted or are “likely” to have caught the Delta variant.

St. Catharines leads the caseloads with 55, followed by Niagara Falls at 39. Both Fort Erie and Grimsby have 14 ongoing cases.

The remaining eight municipalities run between Niagara-on-the-Lake and Port Colborne, both with one case each, up to Lincoln, Thorold and Welland, all with six cases.
