Niagara Region reports 364 cases of COVID, most in St. Catharines

It appears that COVID-19 is not going away any time soon in Niagara Region.

Niagara Public Health reports there are 364 active cases of the virus in the region, 77 new cases since last Friday.

As well, there are 24 people hospitalised with five patients currently on ventilators.

The majority of cases are in St. Catharines with 273. Niagara Falls has 197 cases and Welland with 128.

The numbers are current as of July 7, 2022.

Since the beginning of the pandemic there has been 41,810 documented case of COVID-19 in Niagara Region and 566 people have died due to the virus.

Starting this month, Niagara Public Health will provide COVID updates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
