Niagara Region pair busted for drugs and stolen goods by Brantford Police

A Niagara Region pair were caught by Brantford Police after being found driving a car with stolen licence plates.

A Thorold man and Niagara Falls woman were found to be holding a large amount of drugs and cash in the car.

On October 8, the police spotted the car with the plate in a convenience store parking lot and arrested the pair as they left the store.

Evan Garret Besner, 34, of Thorold, was charged with eight counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, three counts of breach of probation and three counts of driving while suspended.

Ashley Anne Mulligan, 29, of Niagara Falls, was charged with eight counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000.

Police held both for bail.
