Niagara Region drops to 247 ongoing COVID-19 cases with 27 new ones today but 41 resolved

While there were 27 new cases of COVID-19 in Niagara Region today (November 9), there were also 41 resolved cases, dropping to region to 247 ongoing cases.

The number of residents being treated in Niagara hospitals jumped to 11 today with two in them in the ICU.

St. Catharines continues to lead the caseloads with 64 ongoing while Fort Erie follows at 48 and Niagara Falls at 43. According to Niagara Regional Health stats, Fort Erie presently has the worst infection rate with 14.6 people per 10,000 residents.

Three more municipalities are reporting double-digit cases as Lincoln has 25 cases, Welland accounts for 23 while Niagara-on-the-Lake trails with 12.

The remaining six municipalities range between West Lincoln at one case up to Port Colborne and Thorold, both at seven.
