The Niagara Regional Police are looking for a few new players to march into their Pipes and Drums Band.

The group, which performs throughout the Niagara Region at events such as regional parades, concerts, festivals, and competitions, is based out of Niagara Falls and is need of new members.

“We are appealing to youth who are over the age of eight and are interested in learning to play a variety of musical instruments including the bagpipes, tenor/bass drum, and/or drumline snare,” the police said.

Best of all, the police said no previous experience is required.

“The NRPS Pipes & Drums offers an introduction to music byway of structured musical lessons, adult led mentorship and peer support,” the police said.

“Those who have participated in the program in the past have seized the opportunity to play unique musical instruments while creating friendships that last a lifetime.”
