Niagara Police looking for witnesses in Port Colborne motorcycle collision that killed a rider

Niagara Police are looking for witnesses as a 60-year-old Welland motorcyclist in a August 21 Port Colborne collision died in the hospital last night.

The collision occurred at Regional Road 27 and Green Road when a number of motorcycles were westbound on RR27 and a silver convertible driven by a female in the middle of the group allegedly slowed down and turned.

As a result, one motorcyclist lost control, hitting another in the motorcycle group before ramming the guardrail. He was taken to a local hospital and then an out-of-town hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Detectives from the Niagara Police Collision Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate this collision and are hoping for witnesses to step forward.
