Niagara Police continue to be on the look-out for a couple in a black Mustang driving recklessly both on the QEW and through streets in Niagara neighbourhoods.

Police spotted the 2018 muscle car with the Ontario plate, 50YOTE, on Garrison Rd. near Kraft Rd. in Fort Erie yesterday (May 4).

Police believe the car had been linked to a wanted female Zeanka Havtur, 29, of no fixed address, shown below.

When it stopped at a plaza, the male driver entered a store while Havtur stayed in the passenger seat.

The police identified the driver as Colin Todd, 38, of Port Perry, (shown above) who then returned to the car, only to find it blocked by a police car. The couple refused to get out of the Mustang when ordered by the police.

Instead, Todd suddenly took off, jumping over a cement parking curb and onto a grassy area.  He continued to speed up as he went over a hill, sidewalk and onto the road. Once on the road, the car sped up even more “putting the public at risk” so the officers didn’t chase out of concern for public safety.

A Facebook post today saw dozens of Niagara residents comment on having seen the car driving recklessly on both highways and city streets. Many said there was significant damage to the front and rear fenders.

Todd is wanted for obstructing police, flight from police and dangerous driving.

Havtur was wanted for break and enter, theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5,000 and three counts of failing to comply with a release order.

Member of the public who spots the couple or has information as to their location are asked not to approach them but to call the police.

Members of the public who wish to provide information and speak with the investigating detectives can call 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009339.
