Niagara Police charge man in Niagara Falls club stabbing

A Niagara Falls man has been charged after a man was repeatedly stabbed in a popular Niagara Falls club on May 29.

Niagara Police responded to a disturbance call at Club Seven at 5355 Ferry Street in Niagara Falls at 12:40 am to find a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds in the parking lot.

EMS quickly shuttled him to the nearest hospital before he was taken to an out-of-town trauma centre for further medical care.

An investigation quickly resulted in the suspect being identified, arrested, and subsequently charged.

Ricardo Valderrama, 52, of Niagara Falls, an employee of Club Seven, is charged with attempted murder and aggravated assault.

He was arrested on May 29 and held in custody pending a bail hearing via video link to the courthouse in St. Catharines on May 30. He was released from custody on an undertaking and has a scheduled court date of June 27 at the courthouse.

Detectives are appealing to witnesses who may have been at Club Seven or in the area of Club Seven at the time of the incident.  Anyone with information about this investigation is asked to contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option 3, badge #1009408.
