Moving soon and your new unfurnished place could use a few odds and sods? Like, say, furniture and kitchen appliances?

The Niagara-on-the-Lake Rotary Club has you covered this weekend. It will be holding its “Gigantic Garage Sale” this weekend and the group guarantees they have the goods.

“We have enough goods to fill a few full houses: 400 paintings and prints, 29 area rugs, sofas, kitchen stools, many dining room and bedroom suites, desks, office chairs, wall units, dishes, kitchen utensils, working appliances and electronics, sporting equipment, linens (laundered), children’s toys, outdoor and indoor furniture, miscellaneous items, and much, much more,” said the Rotary Club.

On Saturday, May 14 and Sunday, May 15, the club will be taking over Cornerstone Church (570 Niagara Stone Road, Virgil) from 9 am to 5 pm both days so participants can come check out the “vast expanse of high-quality merchandise for sale” at deep discount prices.

All proceeds benefit local and international children’s charities, the club said. Items not sold at the event will be donated to local charities such as Newark Neighbours, Raft, Habitat for Humanity, Niagara Furniture Bank, Christian Benefit Shop, and the Salvation Army.

“Watch for it again next year,” they added. “We hope to make this an annual event.”
