By the end of the day, it might be impossible to keep up with all the pre-emptive business and institutional closure tomorrow (December 23) as Niagara Region is expecting to get pummeled with snow tonight.

While the south side of Niagara Region – Fort Erie, Port Colborne and Wainfleet – are expecting a full-on blizzard, even the north side – Grimsby, Lincoln, St. Catharines and Niagara-on-the-Lake – are anticipated at least a major snow event.

To that end, not long after both school boards announced they’d be shutting all schools tomorrow, even the Niagara-on-the-Lake Public Library (10 Anderson Lane) is telling people to stay home.

“A major winter storm is expected in Niagara later today that will cause dangerous driving conditions on Friday and over the weekend,” the NOTL library announced this afternoon.

“Based on this forecast the library will be closed on Friday, December 23rd. Stay safe out there!”
