It seems that the pandemic message has not been lost on the folks at Niagara-on-the-Lake.
And that message is simply this: get as many municipal services online as possible.
The Town has just added two more to the online package – dog licence renewals and parking ticket disputes.
“I am very proud of the work Staff is doing to modernize our services and achieve greater efficiency for our residents,” noted Mayor Betty Disero.
“Providing multiple ways for the public to receive the services they need, and desire is so important, and I am glad to see Niagara-on-the-Lake continuing to find ways to make our services better.”
Effective yesterday (August 11), NOTL residents can complete and submit a new or renewal application for a dog licence through a quick, easy-to-fill-out online form equipped with online payment capabilities.
With separate forms for renewal and new dog licences, this process supports residents’ desire to receive service from the comfort and safety of their own homes.

Also set up on August 11, members of the public wishing to dispute a parking penalty notice can request a meeting with a screening officer via an online, fillable form.
The process is intended to review and determine whether or not a parking infraction was committed, and it previously required applicants to fill out and print an online form before submission. Now, the form can be completed and submitted through a streamlined, electronic process.
