The Niagara IceDogs may have lost last night 5-3 to the Petes in Peterborough last night (Feb. 2) but one member set a record nonetheless.

IceDogs goalie Josh Rosenzweig made team history facing 65 shots and turning away 61 of them. Those 61 saves is easily a team record.

Rosenzweig faced 38 shots in the second period alone.

Said the IceDogs, “His 61 save performance marked a Niagara IceDogs franchise record and the highest total from any OHL goaltender this season. Congrats Rosey!”

Due to his Herculean efforts, Rosenzweig was the game’s second star behind the Pete’s Brennan Othmann, who had a two goal game, but ahead of third star Avery Hayes, who also tallied for Peterborough.
