Those familiar with The Price is Right TV show don’t have to be told what Plinko is. They know the disc-sliding-down-a-bumper-board-to-a-prize game all too well.

So when Diana Horne of Niagara Falls played the lottery version, she wasn’t expecting much.

Now, the 46-year-old wife, mother, and grandmother is sitting pretty after winning a $200,000 prize with INSTANT PLINKO.

Horne, an occasional lottery player, stopped one day for gas and bought an INSTANT PLINKO ticket, eventually just tucking it in her purse. The next day, she played her ticket and realized she won a CHIP.

When Horne brought her ticket to the store and it landed on PLINKO, she still had no idea what that meant.

“I didn’t know I won big at first,” she shared. “I went to the car to tell my husband and daughter and with tears in my eyes asked them to pinch me, so I knew the moment was real. I felt like I was floating on air for the rest of the day.”

Eventually you have to physically play the game at the OLG Prize Centre for the chip drop so she knew then it was go time.

“I took a moment before I dropped the chip to acknowledge my grandmother, who would have been so proud of me in that moment.”

As her chip landed on $200,000, it took a moment for reality to set in. “It was hard to comprehend that it was mine,” she said. “It felt like I was in dreamland.”

She will celebrate by buying a camper for her family and hosting a barbecue with her friends and colleagues. She also plans to use her winnings to give her daughter the summer of camping she’s always wanted.

“My daughter is also getting married this fall,” said Horne. “I want to surprise her and make her day even more special.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Big Bee Convenience Store on Lundy’s Lane in Niagara Falls.
