Niagara Falls seeks residents’ input on priorities for 2022 budget

The City of Niagara Falls is getting set to start its 2022 budget deliberations and they looking for feedback from residents on what they consider priorities and key considerations.

Lest anyone request their street be paved with gold, the city wants to remind residents that through the budget process, choices are made to ensure the appropriate balance between affordability, service levels and financial sustainability is maintained.

The city said in a release, “In a challenging budget year where the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is placing considerable pressure on the city’s financial position, community feedback about priorities for residents is more important than ever.”

From October 1st to October 29th, residents will learn how the budget process works, how tax dollars are used and the value tax dollars bring to Niagara Falls.
