Niagara Falls resident celebrates 100th birthday

A Niagara Falls resident hit the century mark on August 13 and a healthy handful of people showed up to celebrate the occasion, including Mayor Jim Diodati.
“Happy 100th Birthday to a very sweet lady, Sarah Jane Bevan” said Diodati. “She is a mom, grandma and great grandma and is so loved by many.”
Sarah Jane, who mostly went by Sally, loved to square dance and was actively involved with the Niagara Falls Horticultural Society.
“I truly couldn’t believe she was celebrating her 100th birthday – what a bright ray of sunshine!”
One person attending was Nancy Clarke Mills, Bevan’s goddaughter.
“I was lucky enough to spend a couple hours with my dear, amazing Godmother, Sally on her 100th birthday. What an inspiration she is,” said Mills.
